As Christians, we affirm that Jesus is the one way to salvation (John 14:6) and no one comes to Him who has not been called by the Father (John 6:44). That Jesus is the exclusive way of salvation has been a core element of the faith since Jesus founded His church. Acts 4:12 records Peter proclaiming this boldly, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Just as Peter proclaimed this two thousand years ago, we unabashedly proclaim the same today: Salvation is exclusively through Jesus Christ, and there is no other way.

While the claims of Christianity are exclusive in the way of salvation, it is also an open invitation. This desire of God to reconcile all of mankind to Himself was at first difficult for the early Jewish converts to understand, but God made his truth known. Not only is the offer of salvation inclusive of all mankind, but in Christ, we are all of equal value. As Galatians 3:28 expresses it, God shows no partiality, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Let us explore how Jesus is the exclusive way to salvation, and all are invited. We will explore the unique nature of Jesus that makes him the exclusive path, and discover why he is both necessary to salvation, and sufficient for salvation. Nothing needs to be added to Jesus, as He is perfect, but By Invitation Only.
