Tempted
Temptation is as old as humanity. Adam and Eve faced it in the Garden of Eden. The Israelites faced it when Moses went up the mountain and left them alone. Jesus faced it in the wilderness. And we face it. The temptation itself is not the sin, it is the acquiescing to the temptation either by acting out on it or enjoying the act of imagining acting out on it.
Temptation, or rather the giving into it, was what resulted in the fall of humanity and all the consequences thereof. It was important enough to Jesus that He included it in a model prayer for believers: “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,” (Matthew 6:13). And with this in mind, how are we to interpret this prayer? Would God lead us into temptation? Did He lead Adam and Eve into temptation?
This month we will explore the nature of temptation from the Garden of Eden, to the wilderness with Jesus. And even more important than studying the nature of the enemy, we will explore how it is that we can avoid the pitfalls of temptation and be delivered from evil.
This month we examine what it means to be Tempted.
This kit includes a full devotional study booklet which includes 14 days of devotions. Inside the kit you will find a 4x6 stamp set to aid you in your journey through your bible. In addition to the devotional, the kit includes coordinating journaling cards, two 4.375 x 8.25" clear sticker sheets, two coordinating fabric clips, a custom watercolor dot card, LOTS of paper pieces, a kit sticker, a custom number sticker sheet, a "button" sticker sheet, and a custom coordinated 4x8 alpha sticker sheet.
